Ward N. Powell, 77, of Indianapolis, died Friday, Jan 9, 2010. He was born Sep 12, 1933 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.He attended Purdue University and served his country honorably in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed by Naval Avionics after the war and later worked in machinery sales for several companies covering the Midwest.Ward was married to Sandra L. Turner who preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother Beatrice; daughters Kelli Carson, Paige Miller (husband Paul); son Gregg Powell; grandchildren Nathan, Kayla, Shawna, and Jessica. An informal memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 15th at 3pm at Milano Inn, 231 S. College Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.

    I am so sorry. I just read about your Dad. I will be unable to make the Memorial, but know that I am thinking about you all during this very sad time. I can tell you we have lost some very good men.
